Founded in 1988, the Canadian Palestinian Foundation of Quebec was born from a vision shared by a group of dedicated professionals and community members: serving the Palestinian community, wherever it may be.
Over the past four decades, the CPFQ has evolved into a cornerstone institution for the Palestinian community in Montréal, while providing essential support to our people back home. Our Child Sponsorship Program has supported over 500 children in Gaza and the West Bank since it was initiated in 1999, ensuring access to education, shelter, and healthcare. Through our emergency relief initiatives as a non-profit organization, we have mobilized aid for Palestinians, delivering food, medical assistance, and essential supplies to tens of thousands in times of crisis. Here at home, our mission extends beyond humanitarian work. The Foundation is deeply invested in nurturing the cultural and social life of the Palestinian community in the diaspora. Through our communal projects locally, we aim to support and enrich the lives of individuals in our community, strengthen our bonds, building unity and steadfastness amongst our members.
Our mission
To provide dignified humanitarian support for children and vulnerable families in Gaza and the West Bank, and foster strong, connected communities through cultural, educational, and social programs that uplift identity, justice and belonging in Canada.
